Here are some books/art work I looked at for inspiration.
Carnovsky is a Milan based artist/designer duo comprised of Francesco Rugi & Silvia Quintanilla.
The first artist uses only three colours in his art works just as we have to do. I really like that he put three different images or composition on one page. With using different coloured line drawings he shows much more than one image. You can make out the different drawings but if you have a coloured transparent paper it blocks out two of the images and leaves one behind so you can look at it in full detail. It is really engaging and there is a lot going on on each page.
very flat/2D, limited colour palette, digital
I like how he uses shapes a lot in the images. The design is quite simple yet very engaging and detailed.

‘Atlas of Animal Adventures’

‘The Book of Bees’
I really like the illustrations.
