Drawing Workshop

Today we had a quick drawing workshop. For each drawing we had a certain amount of time. First we had more time and then for each drawing the time got shorter, at the end it was 10 seconds and in the beginning 5 minutes or so. It should show us how we can simplify images so far that it is still recognisable.

Our ‘homework’ was to draw a childhood memory. I chose to use coloured pencil which I normally never use and markers. I wanted it to look like a child drawing but at the same time not. I was inspired by the artist, Ester Pearl Watson, who we discussed in class.
